4/7/2004, Mebane, NC -
Onlinegigs,
the Homegrown Music Network (HGMN) and Harmonized Records are proud
to announce a brand new partnership. HGMN & Harmonized Records will
be using the Onlinegigs suite of tools to assist in the booking and
promotion of their roster of talent. Harmonized artists such as
Garaj Mahal, Ulu, Fuzz and Perpetual Groove will directly benefit
from the new relationship. Each HGMN member will also receive a
free, 6 month subscription to Onlinegigs so they can evaluate its
usefulness firsthand.
HGMN is a cooperative effort that creates a much needed
infrastructure of bands, fans, venues and music distribution
channels. The end result is huge benefit to all of its members in
terms of national exposure and increased profitability. But now by
utilizing the sophisticated features of Onlinegigs, HGMN is able to
leverage even more power out of technology. "HGMN members are known
for their relentless touring, their grass roots organization and for
being tech savvy. The Onlinegigs community is a perfect match for
them. The ones that are working the hardest can essentially use
these tools for free just by updating and editing the directory
regularly. The things is they are already doing just that, but on
their own." says fomer professional DJ and HGMN founder, Lee
Crumpton.
Onlinegigs gives HGMN and its member community the same level of
Contact Resource Management and automation that the major labels
have at a fraction of the cost. Members can find booking contacts
anywhere in the country, track all of their booking efforts, issue
performance contracts, generate tour itineraries with driving
directions, auto-update their own website, archive their tour dates
and send out press releases to any market in the country. Brian
Asplin, Harmonized Records VP, stated "The press release
functionality alone is worth the subscription fee, but the other
features really make this perfect fit for our members."
In a continuing effort to educate independent bands and agents,
owner Jay Flanzbaum, also offers free accounts for music schools and
non-profit organizations. Onlinegigs is an E2M.org certified company
that contributes to the E2M Community Development Fund. For more
